Ty, Host

If you don’t know it already, Ty is not afraid to say what is on her mind. Her candid, no nonsense demeanor definitely originates from her roots in the Bronx. Growing up, Ty was often deemed creative, outgoing, and an "absolute ham" by her friends and family. Anytime a camera would turn on, there was no telling what Ty may have said or done once she was in the spotlight. A pivotal moment in her childhood was when her mother gave her a karaoke machine for Christmas. But, instead of using the microphone to sing, she used her new toy to interview anyone who let her. Asking the "tough" questions like, "Why did you really get grounded last week? Do you really study for your last test?”

But this was only a sign of things to come.

Fast forward 20 years and after a four year stint in the U.S. Army Reserves, Ty became no stranger to the world of media. She earned a B.A. in Broadcast Journalism from Delaware State University, while her resume quickly took shape.

Ty has created, produced, and hosted a variety of radio shows in the United States and abroad, as well as a 6 p.m. news program for an ABC affiliate on the East Coast. Her other accomplishments include writing, producing, and directing her first film, Epiphany: A SOULution For Racism, and co-writing the screenplay for a foreign short film, Annie.

Ty runs her own production company, ‘Soulutions Media Group.’ With this powerful vehicle, Ty gives creatives a chance to project their voices into a world needing “soulutions” and peace. Her more than 20 years in strategic business communications also helps those with media production that would help advance humanity in many ways.
